Angela G. Cai, MD, MBA is the President of the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA) which represents over 17,000 emergency medicine physician trainees and graduates. Founded in 1974, EMRA is the oldest and largest independent residency organization whose mission is to be the voice of emergency medicine physicians-in-training and the future of our specialty. Dr. Cai completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University, medical and business degrees at UNC Chapel Hill, and residency training at SUNY Downstate/Kings County in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently an Innovation Fellow at US Acute Care Solutions working on clinical and reimbursement programs including bundled payments, telemedicine, and medication assisted treatment of opioid use disorder at her emergency department in Maryland.
