Tom Sugarman, M.D., FACEP, FAAEM is a board certified emergency physician practicing in community hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area. He serves as the Senior Director of Government Affairs for Vituity. He is Chair-elect for the Emergency Medicine Policy Institute. He is a past-President of California chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians, which honored him with the Walter T. Edwards Meritorious Service Award. He is a pastPresident of the Alameda Contra Costa Medical Society and a Co-Chair of the East Bay Safe Prescribing Coalition. Currently, he is Chair of the Medical Staff Quality Committee at Sutter Delta Medical Center and the Assistant Emergency Department Director for Reimbursement and Advocacy. He is a past Chair of the Emergency Department.
